| Role Purpose | Accounts Executive is responsible for overseeing the firm’s financial records, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with applicable financial regulations. The role includes end-to-end bookkeeping oversight, preparation of financial statements, management of billing and collections, account reconciliations, and support in budget planning and financial analysis. | ||
| KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & ACTIVITIES | |||
| Bookkeeping and Financial Records:
· Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records · Record all financial transactions in the accounting system (e.g, Invoices, expenses, etc) · Reconcile bank statements and manage general ledger accounts on a scheduled basis set by the Manager
Financial Reporting: · Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and submit it to the Manager for review. · Assist with the preparation and submission of tax returns and compliance reports · Prepare various financial statements and reports for Manager’s review. Including but not limited to: – Daily/monthly payment and settlement statements – Profit statements – VAT reports – Outstanding invoice reports – Accounts receivable aging reports – Invoice follow-up report from all departments
Billing and Collections: · Prepare and issue client invoices, credit notes, trust request, etc. · Track accounts receivable and assist in follow ups on overdue accounts · Manage trust accounts and ensure compliance with legal requirements
Accounts Payable: · Process vendor invoices and ensure timely payments · Manage expense reports and reimbursements for both clients and employee accounts · Reconcile accounts payable balances as scheduled by the manager
Budgeting and Forecasting: · Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts · Assist in monitoring the budget performance and report variances · Assist in preparation of financial data that would help the Manager in decision making and strategic planning
Internal Controls and Compliance: · Implement and maintain effective internal controls and support any firmwide API integration with other firmwide software related to the firms’ financials · Support external audits and provide necessary requirements of the General Authority of Zakat and Tax.
Financial Analysis: · Conduct financial analysis to identify trends and variances to aid Manager in producing an accurate reports · Provide insights and recommendations for financial improvements · Assist in cost management and efficiency initiatives |
