| Job Title | Server Management Specialist – Google Cloud Platform (GCP) |

| Role Purpose | Seeking a Server Management Specialist with GCP experience to manage cloud infrastructure, hosting, and domains. Must be skilled in server maintenance, DNS, Linux, and deployment security. |
| KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & ACTIVITIES | |
| Key Accountabilities | Key Activities |
| 1.  Cloud Infrastructure Management | ·      Manage and maintain cloud environments primarily on GCP (Compute Engine, Cloud DNS, Cloud Storage, etc.)
·      Ensure availability and performance of hosted services. |
| 2.  Hosting & Server Maintenance | ·      Resolve server downtime, latency issues, and ensure system reliability.
·      Monitor resource usage and optimize server configurations. |
| 3.  Domain Management & Migration | ·      Handle domain pointing, shifting, and DNS management across multiple registrars and platforms.
·      Ensure proper SSL/TLS configurations. |
| 4.  Security & Backup Protocols | ·      Implement firewall rules, manage server-side security patches, and regularly audit security settings.
·      Set up automated backups and recovery strategies. |
| 5.  Deployment & Version Control | ·      Support CI/CD processes, staging environments, and live deployments.
·      Collaborate with development teams for efficient code release cycles. |
| JOB SPECIFICATIONS | |
| Knowledge / Skills | ·      Strong knowledge of Google Cloud Platform services (especially Compute Engine, Cloud Run, DNS, etc.)
·      Proficiency in Linux/Unix-based systems and shell scripting ·      Understanding of hosting environments, DNS, firewalls, and SSL configurations ·      Familiarity with tools like Cloudflare, cPanel, WHM, and version control (Git) ·      Ability to troubleshoot and resolve server issues independently and efficiently ·      Strong communication and time-management skills |

Certifications |
·      Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field |
| Experience | ·      Minimum 3 years of experience in server management or cloud infrastructure
·      Prior hands-on experience managing production environments in GCP ·      Experience with domain transfers, hosting migrations, and deployment pipelines |
